ABOUT CLARA
Clara embodies the ‘&’-
Strategy & Execution. Creativity & Analysis. Data & Common Sense.
Clara’s career spans fifteen years across dynamic sectors—media, consumer goods, technology, and startups. In her hands, harmonized opposing forces are not just complementary but inseparable, each elevating the other to create great work.
She began her career at industry titans like PepsiCo, ABC, Univision, and Buzzfeed, which provided her with best-in-class mentorship and revealed her talent for merging creative relevance with strategic depth. At PepsiCo, she launched Mountain Dew’s fastest-selling limited-time offering and provided critical data analysis for its largest campaign. She also developed Fusion’s award-winning Online Media Kit, which earned her an Eppy Award. At Buzzfeed, Clara generated seven-figure revenues while capturing the essence of each brand partner.
Clara has a knack for identifying and amplifying critical narratives long before they become mainstream, shaping culture rather than reacting to it. She orchestrated Buzzfeed's largest business development campaign during the 2016 presidential election. At ABC/Univision, she highlighted BLM in a large-scale media campaign five years before its momentum in 2020.
In the volatile startup environment, where rapid growth often comes at the expense of long term stability, Clara distinguished herself by balancing the urgency of scale with the foresight of sustainability. Her work at two Y Combinator start-ups and one Endeavor-backed VC achieved triple-digit growth while laying down the infrastructure necessary for sustained success.
Clara’s academic foundation in Religion and Politics from Yale and her achievements as a debate champion mirror her deep-rooted fascination with exploring duality. She was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and is now based in New York City. Her dedication to advancing Latina voices while balancing strategy and execution underscores a career marked by vision and substance.
